Relationships
Alessa: Cip's twin sister and closest ally. The two couldn't be more different, however. Where Cip is jaded and cynical of the world and people, Alessa retains an innocent naivety and benefit of the doubt mentality. Alessa is a registered nurse, and is regarded as the mafia's #1 Fixer-Upper. The sisters are incredibly close despite their differences, and both stick up for each other. The mafia knows bad-talking Alessa is a guaranteed death wish. Bianca: Cip's daughter and the most important being in her life. While Bianca's father is long gone and forgotten, Cip has ensured Bianca needs for nothing. A part of her feels guilty and worries that her daughter can't have an average life, but ultimately her desire to see her come to her own overrules baseless maternal anxieties. Cip and her daughter are close, and the entire mafia knows this. God help the soul who'd raise a hand to her. Mariella: Though the pair may not seem like it, no one knows Cip better than Weapon. Mariella was a known associate of the mafias in New Jersey and New York, doing the dirty work they weren't willing to sacrifice made men for. Cip, though anonymous at the time, paid Mariella's bail and for a ticket to bring her to meet face-to-face. The two hit it off, and became fast friends. Cip trusts Weapon implicitly, and would do anything for her. Stungun: While Cip would never openly admit it, she finds Stungun to be a little... "disconcerting." They rarely do business face-to-face, but Cip relies on Stungun's poisons for a lot of the more subtle missions. Stungun, meanwhile, benefits from the mafia's money and protection. While the two of them may lead very different lives, they share an amicable relationship nonetheless. |

History
The number of people who know anything about Cip's true past can be counted on one hand. She's very deliberate to keep it a secret, and anyone who digs too deep tends to "disappear." One thing is known for certain: as long as anyone can remember, Cip has always been around. While Cip only allows those closest to her to know the details, she'll summarize it for anyone who asks. When she was young, her sister and her were abandoned by their parents. She couldn't tell you why, however. The two of them caught the eye of a kindly man in his late 30s who sympathized with their plight. He offered them a place in his home; being children, the twins didn't know better. Cip can recall with near perfect clarity how quickly she realized their adoptive father wasn't exactly all he seemed to be.
Details aside, by the time she was aged ten, Cip was being trained for the higher echelons of society and the underworld. Pampered and preened, the twins grew up wanting for nothing. In her early years, Cip showed an affinity for the skills of her heritage: quiet steps and sticky fingers. When he realized this, it was only a matter of time before her "father" became her "mentor." By the time she was eighteen, Cip had been trained and hardened into the mafia's poster child. With Cip's disillusioned apathy to the world of the waking and acumen for the underworld, it was no surprise to anyone as she rose the ranks. What was surprising was the vicious ambition she used to get there. When her mentor was killed in a shoot out, Cip wasted no time grabbing power. Now, fourteen years later, the mafia flourishes. Ask anyone in any family and they'll tell you: when someone says a family is "allied" with Cip, they really mean "subservient." Her ironclad leadership has overcome multiple attempted coups, and no one dares speak of such in "polite" company. One thing is for certain: Cip won't give up her power any time soon.
